Sønderborg Kommune giver hermed tilladelse til at nedrive aftægtsboligen på adressen Møllegade 81a, 6430 Nordborg, som ansøgt. Ejendommens aftægtsbolig er registreret med en bevaringsværdi på SAVE-skalaen, hvilket betyder, at den er omfattet af § 18 i Lov om bygningsfredning og bevaring af bygninger og bymiljøer. Bygningen er opført i den historicistiske stilperiode.
Aftægtsboligen ligger i den vestlige ende af landsbyen Holm, hvor matriklen deles med det nyere opførte stuehus og en garage. Ejendommen er omfattet af lokalplan 202 for landsbyen Holm. Lokalplanens formål er blandt andet at sikre kulturhistoriske bevaringsinteresser, bevaringsværdige bygninger og karakterskabende vejforløb.
På grund af bygningens tilstand, fremtræden og nærmiljø vurderer Sønderborg Kommune, at nedrivningen kun i et mindre omfang vil betyde tab af bevaringsværdier og påvirkning af nærmiljøet. Det skyldes, at nedrivningen ikke vil føre til, at landsbyens bebyggelsesmønster som helhed svækkes. Desuden er bygningen ikke en unik repræsentant for stilperioden og fremstår samtidig ombygget, uoriginal og nedslidt.
