Why look at individual cases?

Landscape protection is more than a map. Decisions show which changes are assessed and which conditions may apply. These examples come from the public decision collection. Later appeals, implementation and ownership have not been verified here. [S01]

Dybbøl Banke 23: temporary accommodation

On 23 January 2026, the conservation board considered a temporary residential caravan. Permission was extended to 1 August 2028 subject to conditions, including removal after building work ends. The application to demolish and build a new house had been withdrawn. This decision does not approve a new house. [S01]

Parallelvej 4: a movable timber hut

On 2 February 2026, the board assessed a particular mobile hut, stored in a barn in winter and positioned near the buildings in the summer half-year. Under the specified conditions, no exemption from the landscape order was needed. This is not a general permission for new cabins or tourist letting. [S01]

Dybbøl Banke 10B: exterior alterations

On 19 February 2026, external insulation and window changes were allowed subject to conditions. The case shows that changes to existing buildings’ appearance can also matter to landscape protection. [S01]

Vemmingbundvej 19: a landscape bank

On 2 March 2026, retrospective approval for partial removal of a bank was refused. Protection therefore includes smaller landscape features as well as the mill and major redoubts. [S01]

Skansegaarden: separate approval processes

The municipal rural-zone permission of 18 October 2022 for Grønnekærvej 1 describes a 500 m² farmhouse, a 145 m² garage and a 24 m² orangery. It refers to an earlier protection permission and sets out conditions for the project. The original records allow readers to follow the process for themselves. [S37]
